What kind of quickdraws should I buy?

If you're just getting started with sport climbing, it's fine to get the cheapest brand name draws that you can. The practical differences between various types of quickdraws are negligible. Usually you can find a 6-pack of draws online for $45-55.

If you think you might be doing a lot of redpointing, find draws that have a thick, woven nylon or polyester dogbone. You can grab the dogbone if you need to french free a sequence. The Petzl Spirits are popular choices.
